무주 서창 산머루와인 테마빌리지 개발전략 = Development strategy for the San-Meoru Wine Theme Village in Suhchang, Muju-gun

This research has been performed to develop the unique mountain village and the well-being of its people by preserving and developing the abundant mountains and forests of Muju Seochang Village, which is at present lagging behind other villages. The study aims to enable the village to sustain harmony with nature and delves into the development of businesses to create profits. For this plan, foure valuation criteria are selected, namely profitability, environmental conservation, sound localism and folk culture. The basic development concept is processed following the four criteria, and the final development scheme is implemented. Accordingly, the basic plans are accomplished after considering the introduction of the establishment for which the facilities and scales are planned.
The results of this research can help overcome the limitation of the profits and prove the feasibility of the mountain village development plan. Also, this research helps to strengthen the local image and create a better place to live in, and ensure profits by making practical application of the local identity of Muju, Deokyou Mountain and Jeoksang Mountain, as the focal point of its promotion.
