동신어린이공원 리모델링 계획 = Renovation Plan for Dongsin Children's Park

The purpose of this project was to redesign a master plan for the children's park with a size of approximately 1,000㎡ located in Jeonju city. Most of the play facilities in the park were already outdated and damaged; therefore nowadays they cannot be well used by children.
The children's park is an important space for children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development and has the role of being a place for children to commune. The park was planned to carry out several functions such as a space for children of all ages, a community space for neighborhoods, and a resting place for the elderly as well. To achieve these objectives, the physical characteristics of the site were analyzed, and a survey of the expected users' profiles and preferences were done. The findings were reflected in our planning.
Dongsin Children's Park was planned to be a nature-friendly space, using Zelkova trees as a theme, to provide a space for bridging people of all ages. The park has been operating a program that enables children to participate in its establishment. Park facilities were selected for the various growth stages of children and in accordance with the current trend in play facilities. In addition, it was planned to accommodate various types of people and provide a space for them to commune.
