의료관광의 시장 세분화에 따른 상품개발 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

의료산업이 고부가 가치 산업이라는 점과 우리나라의 의료산업이 기술력, 가격 면에서 주변 국가들 보다 경쟁력이 있으므로 충분히 발전가능성이 높다고 할 수 있다. 특히 성형 미용부분의 의술은 세계 최고의 의료수준을 보유․유지하고 있으며, 한류 드라마를 통한 천연약재를 이용한 한방관광산업, 수(水)치료 등에도 많은 관심을 가지고 있다. 즉, 우리나라가 의료분야에서 가지고 있는 장점이 강하기 때문에 이 분야를 적극 개발하고 외국인 방문객 유치 지원을 국가에서 체계적으로 지원하면 의료 관광산업은 다른 관광산업보다 경제적 규모나 파급효과가 매우 크다고 할 수 있다.
이러한 배경 하에 본 연구에서의 1차년도는 한국 Health Torusim의 시장세분화(market segmentation)를 위한 연구로서 관광객을 대상으로 의료관광 잠재시장의 세분화를 통해 각 세분시장의 특성을 파악하는데, 주 목적이 있다. 따라서 각 세분시장에 적합한 잠재력을 제시하기 위해, 문헌연구와 실증연구를 실시하였다.
2차년도에서는 1차년도에서 정립된 의료관광의 유형을 QFD(Quality Function Deployment)기법을 적용하여 의료관광 상품개발을 측정하기 위해 이론연구와 실증연구를 병행하였다. 이는 의료관광 유형별 QFD의 적용하기 위한 관광객들이 요구속성을 파악하고 최종적으로 요구속성(에 기반한 실증분석을 토대로 의료관광유형 별 QFD를 활용하여 최적의 의료관광 상품을 개발하고 있다. 현재 본 연구 방법론을 적용하기 위해서 유효 표본을 가지고 관련 프로그램을 이용하여 Health Tourism 유형별 실행 우선순위를 산출하였다.

It can be said that the healthcare industry of our country is a high potential for growth considering the fact that healthcare industry is a high value added industry and the healthcare industry of our country is more competitive than that of surrounding countries in the aspect of technological know-how and price. The level of medical techniques and know-how in the area of cosmetic and plastic surgery in our country, in particular, is at the world's top level and our traditional medicine tourism industry using natural medicinal ingredients and water therapy are creating much interest through the Korean wave TV dramas. In other words, it can be said that the economic scale or the ripple effect of our healthcare tourism industry is much larger than that of other tourism industries upon actively cultivating this area and providing systematic support on the national level to entice foreign visitors since the healthcare industry of our country has many advantages.
Based on this background, the main purpose of this study, which dealt with the market segmentation of the Korean health tourism during the first year of the study, is to understand the characteristics of each segmented market of the health tourism potential market by examining tourists.
During the second year of the study, both theoretical and empirical studies were conducted in order measure the development of health tourism products by applying Quality Function Deployment (QFD) for the types of health tourism that were established in the first year of the study. This was for understanding the needs requirement attributes of tourists for applying QFD according to health tourism type to ultimately conduct empirical analysis based on the requirement attributes based on which the QFD per health tourism type is utilized to develop optimal health tourism product. For the purpose of applying the methodology of this study, related program was used by using significant sample to compute the priority order of implementation according to health tourism type.
