      This study tries to investigate the degree of faith maturity of a Christian youth and to identify the relation between faith maturity and self-esteem. In order to examine this purpose, survey research was conducted on 122 Christian youth who attend a church which is in Daegu and Kyeongsan city.
      The major findings of this study are as follows.
      The degree of total faith maturity of a Christian youth is high(4.15) and the factors taken higher degree are "receptiveness (4.35)", "relationship(4.34)" and "opening(4.24) and the factors taken lower degree are "intimacy(3.75)", and "consciousness (3.96)". The degree of faith maturity is different according to general characters of participants. The degree of self-esteem is 3.37 and the relationship between general characters of participants. and self-esteem of a Christian youth is not significant. The relationship between faith maturity and self-esteem of a Christian youth is significant. Especially, opening and consciousness of faith correlated positively to self-esteem.
      In conclusion, it was found that the degree of self-esteem is influenced by faith maturity. Therefore, Church have to consider of faith maturity and self-esteem of Christian youth and provide services to improve those. This study findings' implications for research and practice were also discussed.
