애니메이션에서 나타난 영웅의 유형별 스토리텔링 연구
- <드림웍스>애니메이션을 중심으로-

본 논문은 애니메이션에 나타난 영웅의 유형에 따른 스토리텔링 변화 양상에 대한 연구이다. 여기서는 중요한 분석 요소가 무엇인지 밝히기 위해 드림웍스 애니메이션을 연구 대상으로 한다. 드림웍스 애니메이션의 캐릭터들은 공정한 이데올로기를 바탕으로 제작되어 다양한 유형의 주인공들이 탄생 할 수 있기에 여러 유형의 영웅을 분석하기에 용이하다. 또한 드림웍스 애니메이션은 작품의 서사방식에 있어 주인공의 모험을 통한 성장이야기를 근간으로 하는 전통적인 영웅서사 구조를 따르고 있는데 이는 각기 다른 주인공의 영웅 유형에 따른 스토리텔링의 변화양상을 분석하는데 있어서 보다 더 효과적이다.
본 논문은 드림웍스의 네 작품 <가디언즈>와 <슈렉>, <드래곤 길들이기>, <쿵푸팬더>에 나타난 주인공의 영웅유형에 따른 스토리텔링 변화를 비교 분석하였다. 주인공의 영웅유형을 분석함에 있어서 노스럽 프라이의 주인공의 행동능력에 따라 선천적인 영웅형과 후천적인 영웅형으로 분류하고 칼 구스타프 융의 심리학적 의식 태도에 따라 외향적 유형과 내향적 유형으로 분석 하였다. 이를 통해 영웅의 유형을 선천적 능력을 지닌 외향형 영웅, 선천적 능력을 지닌 내향형 영웅, 후천적 능력을 갖춘 외향형 영웅, 후천적 능력을 갖춘 내향형 영웅의 네 가지 유형으로 나눌 수 있었다. 스토리텔링의 변화양상에 있어 본 연구자는 분류된 네 가지 유형의 영웅을 시드필드 3막 구조 패러다임을 중심으로 <가디언즈>, <슈렉>, <드래곤 길들이기>, <쿵푸펜더>에 대입시켜 구성점과 밀착점의 발생원인과 함께 조력가와의 대립원인과 갈등의 해결방식, 적대자와의 대립원인과 갈등의 해결방식에 주목하여 분석하였다.
연구결과 구성점과 밀착점의 발생 원인에 있어 선천적 능력을 지닌 외향형의 영웅과 후천적 능력을 갖춘 외향형의 영웅의 경우, 구성점과 밀착점의 발생원인은 주인공이 아닌 외부로 인해 발생하게 되지만 선천적 능력을 지닌 내향형의 영웅과 후천적 갖춘 내향형의 영웅의 경우에는 주인공 자신의 무의식으로 인한 욕망으로부터 발생함을 알 수 있었다. 조력가와의 대립원인과 갈등의 해결방식에 있어서 선천적 능력을 지닌 외향형의 영웅과 선천적 능력을 지닌 내향형의 영웅은 조력가와의 대립의 원인은 주인공의 의식태도에 있지만 조력가와의 갈등을 해결하는 방식은 각기 다르게 나타난다. 후천적 능력을 갖춘 외향형의 영웅과 후천적 능력을 갖춘 내향형의 영웅의 조력가와의 대립의 원인은 그들의 범인(凡人)과 같거나 그 이하의 열등한 상태의 능력에서 기인하며 이야기의 결말에서 완전한 갈등 해소를 나타낸다. 마지막으로 적대자와의 대립원인과 갈등의 해결방식의 경우 적대자와의 대립의 원인은 모두 적대자와의 의식태도의 차이에 그 원인이 있는데, 적대자의 경우 극단적 내향형의 유형을 가지고 있고 적대자와의 갈등의 해결방식에 있어서도 적대자와의 대결과 승리라는 형태를 취한다.
본 연구의 결과를 통해 노스럽프라이의 행동능력으로 분류한 주인공 분석틀과 칼 융의 심리학적 분석이 주인공의 영웅유형을 분류하는 방식에 주요한 요소가 될 수 있었음을 알 수 있었고 이러한 영웅유형에 따른 스토리텔링의 변화양상을 시드필드의 3막 구조 패러다임을 중심으로 연구함에 있어 작품의 내러티브변화에는 주인공에게 부여된 영우유형의 차이에 그 원인이 있었다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 본 연구가 새로운 시선으로 영웅의 유형을 분류함과 동시에 애니메이션 스토리텔링의 분석 방법에 있어 극적 정황의 변화와 캐릭터들 간 갈등의 원인 분석에 대해 집중적으로 접근하여 연구했다는 것에 의의가 있겠다.

This paper is about storytelling heroes' change appeared in animation. I target DreamWork to uncover what factor of Critical analysis is. Characters in Dream Works was made on the basis of fair ideology can create different types of heroes. so it is easy to analyze various kinds of heroes. and Dream Works follows Traditional heroic narrative structure in the way of work, which is the based on Growth through the adventures of the hero. It is very effective to analyze the sotytelling aspect of the change according to the different types of heroes.
In this paper, we dream of the four Weeks, the hero of the work shown in the main character changes according to the type of storytelling were analyzed. Ihis paper deals with four works of Dream Works : <Rise of the Guardians>, < Shrek>, <How to train your Dragon>, <Kungfu Panda>.
In this paper ,we used the way of comparison and analysis about the different types of heroes with the change of storytelling, In analyzing heroes' types, this paper divides two groups depending on the character's ability to act into A born hero and Acquired hero by work of Herman Northrop Frye. this paper also divides two groups depending on sense of psychological attitudes into outgoing type and Introverted type by work of Carl Gustav Jung. Through this, it can be divided into four groups. 1. Outgoing hero with Innate ability. 2. Introverted hero with Innate ability. 3. Outgoing hero with acquired ability. 4. Introverted hero with acquired ability. Researcher in the change of the storytelling assigned four kinds of type into <Rise of the Guardians>, <Shrek>, <How to train your Dragon>, < Kungfu Panda> centered on Syd Field 3 act paradigm structure. Organizing point close point Researcher focusee on Cause of conflict with co-worker, Conflict-solving approach, and Cause of conflict and conflict-solving approach with opponent and analyzed with cause of Organizing point close point.
In this study, in case of outgoing hero with innate ability and outgoing hero with acquired ability,(in the cause of organizing point and closing point), the cause of organizing point and closing point is from the outside, not the hero. However, In case of .Introverted hero with Innate ability and .Introverted hero with acquired ability, the cause of the cause of organizing point and closing point is due to the hero's unconscious desires. In the way of Solving approach between the cause of the conflict and the resolution of conflicts with co-worker, In the case of Outgoing hero with Innate ability. and Introverted hero with Innate ability, the cause of conflicts with co-worker lies in Conscious attitude of the main character. but the Way to Conflict Resolution appears differently. The cause of conflicts with co -worker between Outgoing hero with acquired ability and Introverted hero with acquired ability is attributed to either the same as common people or inferior to them. In addition to the ending of the story shows a complete conflict resolution. Finally, In case of the cause of the conflict and the resolution of conflicts with opponent, the cause of conflicts with opponent is in the difference of Conscious attitude with opponent. In case of opponent, he has extreme type in introversion and He also take the form of victory in confront in Solving approach.
In conclusion, in the method for analysis of animated storytelling, We realized that Framework of hero classified with ability to act by Northrop Frye and Aesthetics analysis by Carl Gustay Jung can be an important role to how to classify Hero's hero type
During studying about Changes aspects of storytelling according to the type of hero with Syd Field 3 act structural paradigm, we saw that the change of the storytelling is attributed to the difference in personality types granted to the hero. We focused on the classification of the types of heroes with the new eyes and conducted a study Dramatic changes in the context and analysis of the causes of conflict between characters.
