We report ultra-sensitive electrochemical detection of Pb2+ and Cd2+ using Nafion blanketed Bismuth nanoplates. The anodic stripping voltammetry (ASV) analysis of Pb2+ and Cd2+ was reliable and showed high-performance. Two strategies to achieve high sensitivity are use of nanoplate and Nafion. Bismuth is used because it has high affinity toward heavy metal, and to increase contact area, bismuth nanoplates were used. However due to low conductivity of bismuth, large surface area of bismuth nanoplate modified glassy carbon electrode(GCE) decreased conductivity. Nafion, conductivity polymer, connected bismuth nanoplates while holding particle together increased the conductivity and performance of the sensor.
