성장하는 교회의 특성에 대한 내러티브 탐구 : 부산지역을 중심으로 = The narrative Inquriy on Characters of Growing Healty Churches : Focusing on the Busan Province

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 한국사회 및 교회 내·외적인 한계와 어려움 속에서도 성장하고 있는 부산지역 7개 교회들의 특성을 분석하여 한국교회와 교회학교 성장을 위한 시사점을 제공하고자 함에 연구의 목적이 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 성장하는 교회의 사역과 지역사회 내 다양한 활동들에 관심을 모으면서, 가능한 한 실천적이며 실제적인 연구로서의 의미를 갖고자 현장의 맥락을 효과적으로 드러내줄 수 있는 내러티브 분석을 적용하였다. 이러한 접근을 통해 본 연구에서는 성장하는 교회의 특성 7가지를 도출하였는데 그 내용은 다음과 같다. 1) 예배의 중요성, 2) 목회자의 철학과 믿음 그리고 소명, 3) 담임교역자의 부교역자에 대한 믿음, 4) 단합된 리더들의 힘, 5) 활발한 교회 활동 및 새 신자 프로그램, 6) 지역사회의 배경/특징에 맞는 전략과 지역사회 내 교회의 위상, 7) 교회의 시스템과 환경의 측면이었다. 이는 한국사회 및 교회 내외적인 한계와 어려움 속에서도 부흥/성장하고 있는 교회들은 하나님께 온전히 예배에 집중하고, 분명한 소명과 철학을 지닌 리더와 리더십이 있으며, 역동적인 프로그램과 지역사회에 대한 헌신 그리고 독특한 교회만의 매력을 지닌 교회인 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 부흥/성장하는 교회의 특징적인 요소들을 다시 영역별로 구조화시켜본다면 1) 예매, 2) 목회자 및 리더그룹, 3) 지역사회 이해, 4) 프로그램과 시스템, 그리고 5) 교회 환경 및 매력으로 나누어 볼 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to provide insight on Korean churches and ministries by studying seven growing healthy churches in the Busan province. Particularly, we examined their ministries and activities in community through qualitative research methods in order to reveal the praxis and context of the participating churches. Through qualitative approaches, we have discovered seven dimensions of a growing healthy church: 1) an exphasis on worship, 2) the minister's philosophy, faith, and calling, 3) the minister's trust in associate ministers, 4) power from the united leadership, 5) vibrant activities and special programs for newcomers, 6) strategies suited for local backgrounds and distictives as well as the church's status/reputation in the local community, 7) a well-organized system and pkeasant church environment. Based on these findings, we identified that the growing healthy churches have their focus on the worship of God, devoted leaders with outstanding leadership, dynamic programs and service to their local community, and uniqueness of the church. Additionally, we were able to come up with a sturctural concept based on the abovementioned seven charcteristics of the successful churches as following-worship, the minister and leadership group, a good understanding of the local community, well-organized ministry programs and an appropriate church system, and a desirable environment and uniqueness of the church.
