Through the fusion of high-speed camera development and DIC analysis technology, study on the airbag door motion analysis method was conducted for the airbag door deployment by using DIC technology. This study has optimized the high-speed camera setting method to apply the DIC technology and developed an analysis method for the measurement data. The analysis method was reviewed by dividing the airbag inflator into step 1, in which the airbag inflator explodes and the cushion hits the door, step 2 in which the skin of the door is cut, and step 3, in which the airbag cushion inflates and rotates the door. And data such as strain, acceleration, angle, and angular velocity based on displacement were analyzed. And 3D data were analyzed for various test conditions using the DIC analysis method. The DIC results were analyzed according to the deployment temperature, sample pretreatment, door structure, and airbag conditions, and it was confirmed that it can be utilized by performing quantitative analysis.
