유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지의 양육참여가 어머니의 양육효능감에 미치는 영향 = 부부 의사소통의 조절효과

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine the moderating effects of couples communication on the association between fathers parenting involvement and mothers parenting competence.
Methods: The subjects of the study were 289 mothers of young children in the Seoul metropolitan area. They completed questionnaires fathers parenting involvement, couples communication and mothers parenting competence. Data were analyzed by means of basic descriptive statistics, Pearson’s correlations, and multiple and hierarchical regression analyses. Aiken and Wests method was used to determine the interactive models modality.
Results: The major findings were as follows: First, fathers parenting involvement was positively correlated with couples communication and mothers parenting competence, and couples communication was positively correlated with mothers parenting competence. Second, couples communication moderated the association between fathers parenting involvement (daily-life guidance/ leisure activity) and mothers parenting competence even when controlling for family income.
Conclusions: The findings indicate that couples communication play an important role in buffering the negative effects of fathers parenting involvement on mothers parenting competence.
