체현인지 접근과 인터페이스 연구 = Embodied cognition and interface studies

국문 초록 (Abstract)

기존의 HCI의 인터페이스 연구는 사용자의 독자적인 이성, 합리적인 목적과 판단을 중심으로 한 전통적인 인지 관점에 토대를 두어 왔다. 한편 최근 외부의 환경과 괴리된 독자적인 이성을 중심으로 인터페이스 사용의 효과가 이루어진다는 전통적 인지 관점은 감성, 직관, 미학 요인들의 영향력을 설명하는데 한계를 보인다. 반면 체현 인지 관점은 몸의 감각-움직임에 기반을 둔 경험을 통해 인지가 형성된다고 본다. 본 연구는 컴퓨터 인터페이스 연구에서, 체현 인지 관점의 중요성을 제기하고, 체현 인지 관점에 토대를 둔 인터페이스 연구의 경향 그리고 그 원리를 알아보았다. 나아가 체현인지 접근을 인터페이스 효과 논의에 적용시킨 새로운 해석 방식을 탐색 하였다. 체현 인지 관점은 데스크톱 사용 경험 관련 문제들에 대한 새롭고 보완적인 설명을 제공하는 동시에 차세대 인터페이스를 포괄하는 인터페이스 발전 방향에 적합한 설명을 제공하는 보완적인 이론이 될 수 있을 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In HCI, traditional interface studies were grounded on traditional cognition theory. Traditional cognition theory focused on separated reason from environment and sense and movement of human body. But recently traditional cognition perspective has challenged by embodied cognition perspective. Embodied cognition perspective emphasizes formation of cognition from sense and movement of human body and it's experience. This study proposes necessity of embodied cognition perspective on interface studies. And reviews current studies and fundamentals of embodied cognition perspective, and than explores applicability of embodied cognition to interface studies in HCI. Embodied cognition can be alternative theory which can explain experience of traditional desktop computer and various future interface.
