퓨처리즘의 동적 이미지 표현형식 변천과정에 관한 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 시각디자인분야에서 다양한 형식으로 활용 가능한 동적 이미지 표현형식에 대한 기초연구의 일환으로, 이탈리아 퓨처리즘이 추구했던 동적 이미지 표현형식의 변천과정에 대한 검토를 실시했다.
논고에 있어서는, 지금까지의 퓨처리즘에 대한 연구가 주로 조형개념이나 포괄적인 표현성향을 중심으로 진행되어 왔다는 점에 주목하여, 퓨처리즘의 등장과 전개과정의 고찰, 그리고 퓨처리즘이 추구한 동적 이미지 표현형식의 분석을 통해, 동적 이미지 표현형식의 변천과정에 대한 특징을 구체적으로 살펴보았다.
퓨처리즘은 20세기 초 이탈리아 공업화의 후진적 상황을 일소하기 위한 수단으로, 기계문명이 창출하는 역동성을 조형이념으로 승화시켜, 다양한 동적 이미지를 추구하면서 그 표현형식의 체계화를 모색하였는데, 이 과정은 크게 분할주의적 탐구단계, 분석적 탐구단계, 종합적 탐구단계로 분류할 수 있다. 초기의 분할주의적 탐구단계에서는 인상주의와 분할주의 표현기법을 토대로 한 작은 색점과 짧은 색선을 이용한 화려하고 현란한 역동적 확산이라는 형식적 특징이 엿보였다. 또한 분석적 탐구단계에서는 큐비즘적 형태해체를 이용한 동시적 리듬과 다이너미즘, 연속사진적 표현을 이용한 리듬과 스피드, 역선의 역동성을 이용한 상호 침투적 확산이, 종합적 탐구단계에서는 추상성, 단순성, 역동성 그리고 대조적인 강렬한 배색으로 동적 이미지의 시각효과를 증폭시키는 특징이 확인 되었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study, as a part of the basic research on forms of expression of dynamic image which is applicable in diverse forms in visual design fields, conducted the examination of the transition process of expressional forms of dynamic image pursued by Italian Futurism.
As for its argument, this study concretely examined the characteristics of each stage through consideration of the appearance and developmental process of Futurism and analysis of the forms of expression of dynamic image pursued by Futurism by taking note of the fact that the existing research works on Futurism have been done mostly with the design concept or comprehensive expressional propensity as the center. As a result, this study confirmed the role & function, concrete type of expression of dynamic image and its characteristic in the appearance of Futurism and its developmental process.
Futurism sought the diverse forms of expression of dynamic image by sublimating the dynamism of machine civilization into the design concept as a meas of making a clean sweep of the backward situation of Italian industralization in the early 20th century, and these stages can be roughly classified as divisionism-based, analytical, and overall exploration stages. At the stage of divisionism-based exploration, there existed a characteristic of colorful and brilliant dynamism using small color dots and short color bars-the expressive technique of Impressionism and Divisionism. In addition, at the stage of analytical exploration, this study confirmed the synchronistic rhythm and dynamism using Cubism-based form deconstruction, rhythm and speed using sequential-photograph-based expression, and cross-penetration-based proliferation using dynamism of force lines; in addition, this study confirmed the characteristic of abstractness, simplicity, dynamism, and amplification of movements using contrasting color arrangement at the stage of overall exploration.
