페미니즘 번역연구의 현황과 특징 = A Study on the Development of Feminism Translation Studies in Korea

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims to uncover major research trends in feminism translation studies in translation and interpretation research in Korea. A total of 22 research articles regarding feminism translation studies were collected from four major domestic academic journals. The current study showed that 16 out of 22 research articles were published by English language related researchers, followed by 2 by Chinese language, and 1 by Spanish, Japanese, Russian and French. The year of 2012 witnessed the significant academic interest in feminism translation studies in Korea, only the interest dwindling since 2012. Based on the analysis, the current study proposes the following research topics for further research. Firstly, the corpus of research articles shows the absence of female translator studies in domestic academic journals, which necessitates full-fledged research in this research field. Secondly, feminism translation studies should be researched in conjunction with cultural translation. Cultural translation finds its point of departure in the concept of the Other, thus further expanding its academic interest in such topics as conflict between cultures and unequal power relations. In this respect, cultural translation provides a fertile ground to research feminism translation.
