탈교회 현상과 비제도권 교회

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구에서는 제도권 교회에 속하지 않는 교회들의 특징에 대하여 살펴보았다. 교회 제도화의 문제는 학계에서 이미 오래된 연구 주제이기도 하지만, 최근 발생한 코 로나 바이러스 사태로 인하여 제도화된 관습을 극복하고 교회에 대한 개혁이 이루어 져야 한다는 주장이 나오고 있다는 점에서 시사하는 바가 크다. 특히 탈교회 현상이 가속화되고 있는 상황에서 새로운 형태의 교회가 형성되고 있다는 것은 학문적으로나 목회적으로 관심을 가져야 할 주제이다. 이 연구는 이러한 문제의식에 따라 비제도권 교회에 대한 기독교인들의 인식을 파악하여 교회에 대한 새로운 욕구들을 이해하고 목회의 자료로 제공하기 위해 이루어졌다. 조사 결과, 비제도권 교회 교인들이 보다 본질적인 신앙을 추구하고 있었고, 기존 교회에 출석하는 교인들과 교회 구성 요건에 대한 생각이 매우 달랐다. 또한 자신들이 출석하는 교회에 대한 평가가 매우 긍정적이 었으며 만족도도 매우 높았다. 그러나 비제도권 교회들이 사회봉사나 참여와 같은 이 웃 사랑에 대한 평가에서 제도권 교회보다 낮다는 한계도 가지고 있다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 한국 교회 특히 제도권 교회들이 어떻게 대응하고 스스로 갱신할 지 에 대해서 실질적인 논의가 이루어지고 대안이 마련되기를 기대한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In this study, the characteristics of churches not belonging to institutional churches were examined. The problem of institutionalization of churches is an old topic within the academia, but in light of the recent Corona virus situation where a call for churches to overcome the institutionalized customs and implement reform is being voiced, it is noteworthy. Especially, as the phenomenon of ‘de-church’ is accelerating, that a new form of church is being formed is a subject that requires further attention, both academically and pastorally. Conscious of these problems, this study attempts to grasp the awareness of Christians toward non-institutional churches and understand the new desires for churches and provide pastoral resources. The result shows that the non-institutional church members sought more essential faith elements, and their thoughts on institutional church members and the configuration requirements of church were very different. Moreover, their evaluation of the churches they attend was very positive, and satisfaction, very high. But the evaluation of non-institutional churches on loving neighbors like community services and participations was lower than the institutional churches, showing its limitation. It is hoped that a practical discussion and alternative can be found on how the Korean churches, especially the institutional churches, can deal with and reform itself based on the results of these studies
