The purpose of this study was to assess elementary pre-service teachers` multicultural attitudes and efficacy. With a slight revision, the Multicultural Efficacy Scale developed by Guyton and Wesche was used to collect data from 960 college students from a National University of Education. When analyzing data, the following four statistical methods were used: correlation analysis, independent samples T-test, analysis of variance, and simple regression analysis. The following findings included: A positive correlation between pre-service teachers` ages and multicultural efficacy; between their parents` income levels and multicultural attitude and efficacy; and between religiosity and multicultural attitude and efficacy. Female averages in multicultural attitude were higher than males, and senior students` averages in multicultural attitude and efficacy were higher than sophomores. These differences were statistically significant. Pre-service teachers` multicultural experience was a predictor in multicultural attitude and efficacy. The results may help teacher educators understand the significant role multicultural attitude and efficacy have on pre-service teachers confidence and overall performance.
