      This study aimed to overview the current status of Dokdo education policy in the context of Korea and examine the future tasks. In particular, among the detailed policies related to Dokdo education promoted by the Ministry of Education, the "Dokdo Education Week" and "Dokdo Education Research School" policies were analyzed in detail and examined the future tasks. The results of this study are as follows.
      First, at the time of 20 years after Japan's full-scale Dokdo provocation, it is now necessary to change the direction of promoting the defense of our land Dokdo and the strengthening of Dokdo sovereignty from a proactive perspective rather than a reactive approach to Japan. Second, in order to activate and enhance Dokdo education, the most important focus in Dokdo education is to strengthen the ability of teachers in charge of Dokdo education. Third, the operation of "Dokdo Education Week" is a good policy that can further activate Dokdo education. In order to check how the 'Dokdo Education Week' is specifically operated in the educational field, a monitoring system is necessary. Fourth, it is desirable to expand the 'Dokdo Education Research School' operation project, which has been centered on public or national university schools, to general private middle and high schools. Fifth, the achievements of the Dokdo Education Research School should be summarized in a booklet and distributed to schools nationwide to generalize them.
