학령기 ADHD 아동의 내재적 언어특징: 문장따라말하기와 기억과제의 관련성 중심으로 = The Relationship between Sentence Repetition and Memory Tasks in School-age ADHD Children

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of the present study was to investigate language competence of ADHD children using sentence repetition task and relationship between sentence repetition and memory tasks. Twenty five children with ADHD and twenty five IQ, vocabulary skill and age-matched typically developing children participated in this study. All children were third to fifth grades in elementary school. All participants were tested using sentence repetition task and correlation analysis of sentence repetition score with memory task score were taken by group. The result showed that ADHD children were significant low score than typically developing children in sentence repetition task. Typically development children have showed significant correlation between sentence repetition and all of memory task(short-term memory task, working memory task). but ADHD children were showed no significant correlation between sentence repetition and working memory tasks except with short-term memory task. These results suggested that children with ADHD appeared to poor grammatic competence relative to their peers and underling cognitive mechanism of sentence repetition task were different with typically children.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 학령기 ADHD아동의 문장따라말하기 능력을 알아보고 이와 관련된 기억 능력과의 상관양상을 또래 집단과 비교하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 정상 지능의 3-5학년 ADHD아동 25명과 생활연령 및 어휘능력에서 차이가 없는 일반아동 25명이 연구에 참여하였다. 문법 복잡성과 문장 길이를 점진적으로 증가시킨 36개의 문장으로 구성된 문장따라말하기 과제를 실시하여 아동의 정반응을 채점하였다. 또한 문장따라말하기 수행 점수와 기억과제(단기기억 및 작업기억)와의 상관 분석을 집단별로 실시하였다. 그 결과 학령기 ADHD아동은 또래 일반아동과 비교하여 유의미하게 저조한 문장따라말하기 수행을 보였다. 집단별 상관분석 결과, 일반아동 집단은 단기기억과제 및 작업기억과제 모두에서 문장따라말하기 수행과 유의미한 상관을 나타낸 반면, 학령기 ADHD아동은 문장따라말하기 수행과 단기기억 과제간에서만 유의미한 상관을 보였고, 작업기억과제와는 유의미한 상관을 보이지 않았다. 이러한 결과로 보아 ADHD아동은 또래 일반아동과 비교하여 저조한 문장따라말하기 수행능력을 보이고 있고, 문장따라말하기와 관련된 내재적 인지 과정에서도 일반아동과 차이를 보이고 있음을 확인 할 수 있었다.
