The recent controversy on the status and activity range of announcers has not yet been resolved. However, academic studies regarding such phenomenon hardly exist in the academic world. Hereupon, this research thesis has inspected the present situation of viewers of entertainment programs and has executed survey on the following research problems in order to investigate the characteristics of entertainment program announcer MC.
First, what is the present viewers condition of entertainment programs? Second, what is the response of viewers regarding the entertainment program announcer MC? The researcher of this study has presented an improved direction regarding entertainment program announcer MC through the following 4 elements : first, the necessity of self-efforts of announcer, second, establishment of new status regarding entertainment program announcer MC, third, strengthening of professionalism of announcer, and fourth, improvement in problems of entertainment program announcer MC.
