Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate factors related to health-related quality of life in elderly living alone. Methods: This study analyzed data from the eighth Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2019. The participants in the study were 357 elderly people living alone who were 65 years of age or older. Data were analyzed by the Pearson's correlation and multiple regression analysis using an IBM SPSS statistics 27.0 Program. Result: The results of multiple regression analysis showed that household income(=.05, p=.003), perceived health status(=.40, p<.001), and daily activity limit(=.32, p<.001) had significant effects on health-related quality of life(F=10.66, p<.001) in elderly living alone explaining 44.5% of the variances(Adjusted R2=.418). Conclusion: Household income, perceived health status, and daily activity were related to health-related quality of life in elderly living alone. Findings suggest that healthcare providers need to provide the program for enhancing perceived health status. It is necessary to improve the quality of life of the elderly in low income and the elderly with limitation of daily activities.
