가톨릭고등교육의 정체성 구현을 위한 발전방안 연구 : 가톨릭대학교를 중심으로 = Strategies for Integration the Catholic Characters into the Educational system ot the Catholic

The purpose of this article is searching for developmental strategies for the Catholic University of the Korea. The perspectives of the article based on the Catholic education. That means, the integration of the mission of the Catholic higher education, curriculum, and educational administration is the most important task to fulfill the purpose of Catholic University of the Korea.
To get the purpose we asked the followings: Firstly, what is the mission of the catholic higher education? What is the identity of the Catholic higher education? To get the answers, we searched the Catholic Church document about Catholic Higher Education.
Secondly, what are the characteristics of the Catholic University of the Korea? What are the perspectives of the members who are faculty, staff and student in the CUK, about the mission identity and characteristic of the CUK? To get the empirical evidences, we took the way of survey and analysis of the rules. The objects of the survey are the faculty, staff and student in the CUK. The materials of the analysis are the rules about personnel administration, offering curriculum and programs and mission statement.
Thirdly, we proposed the strategies for the integration of the mission and educational system.
According to the documents, the main role of the Catholic Higher Education is the realization the Christian education. To fulfill these, Following things are required to the Catholic Higher the Education; integration of the reason and faith in the research and teaching, keep the scholastic excellence, enlargement of the social service, service learning, catholic experience, making up the merit system.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 본 가톨릭대학교의 발전 방향을 제시하기 위하여 가톨릭 고등교육의 정체성과 가톨릭대학교 교육기반의 통합을 모색하는 데 목적을 둔다. 이를 위해, 첫째, 가톨릭교회의 공식문헌을 중심으로 가톨릭대학의 "가톨릭" 정체성 의미를 탐구하였다. 둘째, 가톨릭 대학의 인적, 학제적차원에 나타난 가톨릭 특성에 대한 실증적 분석을 수행하였다. 이를 위해 현 가톨릭 대학 구성원의 가톨릭교육에 대한 의식 조사와 가톨릭대학교의 명문화된 교육이념, 규정, 교육과정 등의 제도분석을 실시하였다. 셋째, 이론 연구와 조사 연구를 바탕으로 가톨릭 정체성과 교육기반의 통합전략을 제안하였다. 구체적으로 제도적 교육영역에서는 인간학·영성과정 운영 강화, 문화영성대학원의 강화, 종교·철학·신학 강좌의 강화, 가톨릭 특정 영역 교육, 가톨릭 정신과 통합한 과목 개발 등을 제안하였으며, 연구와 봉사 및 가톨릭공동체 형성의 영역에 있어서는 신앙과 이성을 통합하는 연구의 권장, 사회봉사의 확대, 수업과 봉사의 결합, 가톨릭 경험 기회의 확대, 가톨릭교육이념 수행자에 대한 보상 강화 등을 제안한다. 이를 통해 교육활동 안에서 가톨릭 신앙을 적극적으로 실행하면서 가톨릭교육의 사명을 실천할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
