수학사를 활용한 교수 학습 자료 연구 : 고등학교 1학년 과정을 중심으로

Teaching math with the most use of math history can help students to find their own motives to study math, and to understand that math is a continually growing study as well as an intellectual product of former researchers' efforts. And it can be an efficient tool of emphasizing usefulness of math, and of seeking the humanization of math education. Moreover, it can provide various approach methods for problem solving. Therefore, the importance and necessity of teaching math history has been discussed in this thesis with the review of cited documents and the analysis of theses related to teaching math history. To deepen and further the discussion, the research on the parts of text books related to math history has been undertaken. In the train of the research, learning materials on math history were scouted and offered, which were related to the mathematicians who are commonly appearing in math text books.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

수학사를 활용한 수학 교육은 학생들에게 수학에 대한 학습 동기를 유발하고, 수학은 인간의 노력의 산물이면서 동시에 발전하는 학문이라는 것을 인식시켜준다. 그리고 학생들에게 수학의 유용성을 강조할 수 있으며, 수학교육의 인간화를 도모할 수 있다. 또한 수학사는 문제 해결에 있어서 다양한 접근 방법을 제시한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 수학사 지도에 관한 문헌 검토와 관련 논문의 분석을 통해 수학사 지도의 필요성과 중요성을 논하였다. 그리고 실제 교과서에 도입된 수학사적 내용을 조사하고, 공통적으로 제시하고 있는 수학자들과 그들과 관련 있는 일화에 대한 수학사 학습 자료를 조사하여 제시하였다.
