잡지 『中學生』 창간호의 기획 의도와 홍구범의 ｢少女 黃眞伊｣ 분석 = Analysis of the Planning Intent of the First Issue of the magazine Middle School Student and Hong Gu-beom’s ｢Girl Hwang Jin-yi｣

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 새로 발굴된 『중학생』 창간호의 의도와 개요, 홍구범의 ｢소녀 황진이｣를 중심으로 해방공간에서 문학인들이 중학생을 어떻게 호명하고 있는지 살펴보았다. 잡지는 독자 대상을 전제로 간행되므로 잡지에 수록되는 글이나 문학작품, 이미지 등은 잡지가 표방하는 목적과 긴밀한 관련을 맺고 있다. 해방공간에 발행된 잡지『중학생』은 당대 대표적인 문인들을 필진으로 대거 참여하게 하고, 문예현상공모와 문학창작강좌 등을 개최함으로써 주 독자층인 중학생에게 주체적으로 자기를 인식하고 예비 문학가의 길을 선택하는 데 영향을 주고자 했던 것으로 보인다. 잡지『중학생』은 소녀 소년과 성인을 잇는 청년 세대의 가교역할로서 제1차 교육과정과 맞물려 창간된 것과 관련지어 볼 수 있다. 문학교육의 방향성과 작가 수업의 일환으로 보일 만큼 문학지의 목소리를 대변한다는 점이『중학생』창간호의 핵심적인 특징이라고 할 수 있다. 잡지에 삽화와 함께 수록된 홍구범의 ｢소녀 황진이｣는 청소년기의 독자층을 염두에 두고 설화의 소설적 변용과 낭만적 경향을 보여주었다. 이 작품은 자기에게 주어진 길을 피하지 않고 수용하는 소녀 황진이를 통해 동시대 소년 소녀들에게 시대가 바라는 모습을 호명한 것으로 읽힌다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Focusing on the intention and outline of the newly discovered first issue of the Middle School Student and Hong Gu-beom’s ｢Girl Hwang Jin-yi｣, this study examined how literary people call middle school students in the liberation space. It seems that the Middle School Student of the magazine wanted to influence middle school students, who are the main readers, to recognize themselves independently and choose the path of a prospective literary artist by allowing representative writers of the time to participate as writers and holding literary phenomenon contests and literary creation lectures. This work, which is illustrated and included in the magazine, showed the novel transformation and romantic tendency of folktales with the readership of adolescence in mind. This work can be found in its meaning in that it connects and expands the structure of fiction with a sense of theme focusing on the entrance of a girl who chooses her own path and walks by herself. Soon, Hwang Jin-yi, a girl who accepts the path given to her without avoiding it, is read as what intellectuals, including writers during the liberation period, want from contemporary boys and girls.
