초등학교 수영선수 성격유형(MBTI)과 경기력의 관계 = Relationship Between Personality Types(MBTI) and Performance of Elementary School Swimmers

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 첫째, 성격유형을 통해 경기력의 관계를 확인하고 둘째, 이 자료를 기반으로 수영지도자에게 초등학교 수영선수들의 효율적인 훈련 및 관리를 위한 기초자료를 제공하는 데 목적을 두었다.
이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 충청남도에 등록된 모든 초등학교 수영선수 중 본 연구의 설문을 동의한 50명을 대상으로 하였고, 김정택과 심혜숙(1990)에 의해 한국어판으로 표준화된 MBTI 검사지를 사용했다. 검사지는 MBTI Form M 자가채점방식 검사지를 사용하였으며, 검사지는 93개의 문항으로 구성되어 있고 자기 자신의 영향을 나타내도록 짧은 내용으로 되어있다. 수집한 검사지와 설문지를 바탕으로 SPSS Statistics 25.0을 이용하여 빈도분석, 기술통계, 교차분석, 상관관계분석을 실시하였다. 이와 같은 연구과 자료 분석을 기초로 하여 설정한 연구 가설을 기반으로 다음과 같은 결론으로 도출하였다.
첫째, 초등학교 수영선수의 성격유형(MBTI) 분포에서 ESTP 외향적 감각형이 가장 많았으며, ENTP 외향성 직관형, ESFP 외향적 감각형 순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 초등학교 수영선수 수준별 성격유형(MBTI) 분포의 교차분석 결과에서 전 학년(1~6학년), 초등부(5~6학년), 유년부(1~4학년) 모두 유의한 차이가 없었다. 셋째, 초등학교 수영선수의 MBTI 선호지표별 점수와 경기력 관련 변수인 자유형 100m 기록 및 지각된 경기력의 관계에서 독립변인인 MBTI 선호지표별 점수와 종속 변인인 자유형 100m 기록, 지각된 경기력 간의 유의한 차이는 없었다. 마지막으로 이와 같은 결과를 살펴볼 때 수영지도자에게 제공할 수 있는 초등학교 수영선수들의 효율적인 훈련 및 관리를 위한 기초자료로는 초등학교 수영선수의 성격유형(MBTI)과 경기력의 관계는 없으며, 초등학교 수영선수들의 경기력을 향상시키기 위해서는 선천적인 성격유형보다 다른 심리적 요인과 기술 학습 요인 등이 더 중요한 영향을 미치는 것으로 볼 수 있다는 점이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is, firstly, to confirm the relationship between performance according to personality type, and secondly, based on this, to provide swimming instructors with basic data for efficient training and management of elementary school swimmers.
To achieve this goal, among all elementary school swimmers registered in Chungcheongnam-do, 50 people who consented to the survey in this study were targeted, and the MBTI test criteria prescribed in the Korean version by Kim Jeong-taek and Shim Hye-sook (1990) were used. The MBTI Form M self-replacing questionnaire was used for the questionnaire, and the questionnaire consisted of 93 questions, and was short to indicate one's own influence. Based on the collected test sheets and questionnaires. descriptive statistics, crosstabulation, and chi-square were conducted using SPSS Statistics 25.0. Based on the research hypotheses established based on these studies and data analysis, the following conclusions were drawn.
First, in the distribution of personality types (MBTI) of elementary school swimmers, the ESTP extroverted sensing type was the most common, followed by the ENTP extroverted intuitive type and the ESFP extroverted sensing type. Second, in the result of the cross-analysis of the distribution of personality types (MBTI) by level of elementary school swimmers, there was no significant difference in all grades (1st to 6th grade), elementary school (5th to 6th grade), and childhood (1st to 4th grade). Third, in the relationship between scores by MBTI preference index, performance-related variables, 100m freestyle record and elementary school swimmers' performance, there was no significant difference between the independent variable MBTI preference index score and 100m freestyle record, and perceived performance there was. Finally, looking at these results, basic data for efficient training and management of elementary school swimmers that can be provided to swimming instructors is that there is no relationship between the personality type (MBTI) and performance of elementary school swimmers, In order to improve the other psychological factors and skill learning factors can be seen as having a more important influence than the innate personality type.
