다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In the context of increased globalization, the foreign direct investment (FDI) pays a very important role for the competitive advantage of the nation. FDI has brought Korean economy the huge capital, new technologies, modern management expertise, employment, export and improvement of the balance of payment. Besides, FDI has much contributed to the institutional reform, changing the legislation system and policies, and adjustment of economic structure to the changes of the world economic structure. Such these impacts have supported the competitive advantage of Korean economy.
Therefore, it is necessary to provide the market condition of free trade to foreign enterprises in order to encourage FDI into the country by changing trade policies in Korea. This study examines the economic impacts of Masan Free Trade Area in the region and the composition of all elements and market conditions of Masan Free Trade Area, especially for the companies which are occupied in the area. In addition, the study will help to answer a question of how the government increase in FDI not only in the Free trade areas, but also in other areas.
