At first in india, The Avalokitesvara-faith shows character of blessing good fortune. Because of starting off with development of Mahayanist Buddhism, which assimilates endemic god. The Avalokitesvara-faith was introduced from China in later Hu-Han(後漢) period. That formed Avalokitesvara-residence faith(眞身常住信仰) of Botasan(普陀山) in center of blessing good fortune in this world. The early stage of The Avalokitesvara-faith introduced into Unified Silla shows blessing good fortune which is based on Samanta-mukha-parivarta(普門品) of Saddharma Pundarika Sutra(法華經).
The Avalokitesvara-faith which was popular in Naksan region placed in East sea during 文武王 period, was showed especially. After returning of Uisang(義湘) from China, Naksan-temple(洛山寺) was build by Uisang for the first time. Real residence of The Avalokitesvara is based on Gandavy-uha-sutra(入法界品) of Buddhavata-msaka-nama-mahavaipulye-sutre(『華嚴經』) preached Buddhism there, and Naksan-temple was a center temple forming The Avalokitesvara-faith which stressed personality of practical ascetic exercise. The Avalokitesvara-faith showed in Bakwhadoryang-Balwonmoon(「白花道場發願文」), which was written in Avalokitesvara-cave of Naksan's by Uisang, was a wish that people want to be born in paradise of real world. Mainly practicing contemplating one's true character. The Avalokitesvara-faith was appeared with connecting with the land of happyness-faith(淨土信仰).
When Wonhyo(元曉) come to Naksan's after Uisang, His seeing Avalokitesvara's remained appearance of the earth god strongly. All Several appearance remind appearance of the earth god as Avalokitesvara's being changed appearance, for example cutting down the rice plants, woman of washing Wolsubaek(月水帛) and bluebird on a pine and so on. thus basis, being able to combine Avalokitesvara-faith with the earth god, can see in Bumbon(梵本)'s Gwaneumkyoung of Samanta-mukha-parivarta of Saddharma Pundarika Sutra. Avalokitesvara-faith among the Buddhist Goddess of Mercy established Bakwhadoryang-faith(白花道場信仰) and spreading of Buddhist -world thought. In addition to it influence on Odesan-faith(五臺山 信仰) to be able to say as completion of Buddhist-world thought. It consider to defense of the fatherland(護國) in Naksan's Avalokitesvara-faith through the point of reading Suvarnaprabhasa-sutre(『金光明經』) and Inwang-sutra(『仁王經』) that consist of Hokuksambukyoung(護國三部經) at Dongdae Kwaneumbang(東臺 觀音房). And It also is considered to the same point that tried to enlarge to increase in population and agricultural productivity.
Naksan's Avalokitesvara-faith had tried to unite Usik(唯識) and Esoteric Buddhism(密敎), even to include Avalokitesvara-faith of former Silla period. that is coincided in MoonMu King's will which had tried to achieve unification between denominations as well as ideologies with Naksan's Avalokitesvara-faith. We are able to consider not only relation with constructing unification rule system in MoonMu King period with Naksan's Avalokitesvara-faith. And but also meaning to be showed Bakwha-paradise that was showed real paradise in this world to war-stricken people.
