비정규직 학교 전문상담사의 상담자 직종 권익옹호 경험에 관한 연구 = A Study on Counselor Occupation Advocacy Experience of Non-Regular School Professional Counselors

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to provide an in-depth understanding of advocacy experiences of non-regular school counselors, and to develop an substantial theory on the advocacy experiences. With the method of snowball sampling peer nomination, data were collected through in-depth interviews with twelve school professional counselors who were most active in practicing advocacy activities. To analyze the data, this study used the grounded theory introduced by Strauss and Corbin(1998). As the result of open coding, 124 concepts, 48 sub-categories, and 19 categories were derived and the relationship between these categories was presented as a paradigm model. The central phenomenon in advocacy process of the school professional counselors was ‘taking courage to speak out with colleges to support and to rely on’, the core category was ‘the process of recognizing advocacy by taking courage to speak out with colleges to support and to rely on’. The advocacy process of non-regular school professional counselors can be divided into 5 stages: ignorance, awareness and action, confusion and conflict, change experience, and confidence. Through selective coding there were three types: voluntary practice, relationship exhaustion, and experience-assured. Finally, the significance, implications and limitations of the major study results were discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 비정규직 학교 전문상담사들의 상담자 직종 권익옹호 경험을 심층적으로 이해하고 이들의 권익옹호 과정을 설명하는 실체이론을 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위해 눈덩이 표집-동료지명법에 따라 선정된 직종 권익옹호를 실천한 학교 전문상담사 12명과 심층 면담한 자료를 Strauss & Corbin(1998)이 제시한 근거이론 방법을 적용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구에서는 개방코딩 결과 124개의 개념, 48개의 하위범주와 19개의 범주가 도출되었으며, 이들 범주 간의 관계를 패러다임 모형으로 제시하였다. 중심현상은 ‘옳다고 지지해주는 의지할 동료가 있기에 용기내어 목소리 냄’, 핵심범주는 ‘옳다고 지지해주는 의지할 동료가 있기에 용기내어 목소리 내며 권익옹호를 인식해가는 과정’으로 나타났다. 비정규직 학교 전문상담사의 권익옹호 과정은 무지 단계, 자각 및 실천 단계, 혼돈과 갈등 단계, 변화체험 단계, 확신 단계이었으며, 이 과정에서 반복적으로 나타나는 패턴을 자발적 실천형, 관계 소진형, 경험 확신형으로 유형화하였다. 끝으로 주요 연구결과에 대한 의의, 시사점과 더불어 제한점을 기술하였다.
