초기 청소년기 위험추구성향과 반사회적 행동의 관계- 또래동조성의 가중효과 - = Risk-taking tendency and anti-social behaviors in early adolescence -Aggravating effect of peer conformity-

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 초기 청소년기의 위험추구성향과 반사회적 행동의 관계에서 또래동조성의 가중효과를 검증하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 한국청소년정책연구원에서 제공하는 ‘청소년 문제행동 저연령화 실태 및 정책과제 연구’에서 사용된 횡단데이터를 사용하여 전국 초등학생 및 중학생 총 6,306명을 대상으로 분석을 실시하였다. 주요 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등학생에 비해 중학생의 위험추구성향, 또래동조성, 그리고 반사회적 행동 수준이 유의미하게 높았으며, 특히 또래동조성의 차이가 가장 큰 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 위험추구성향과 또래동조성은 초등학생 및 중학생의 반사회적 행동을 유의미하게 예측하였다. 셋째, 위험추구성향과 또래동조성의 상호작용효과를 분석한 결과 초등학생은 유의미한 효과가 없는 반면, 중학생은 유의미한 효과가 있는 것으로 검증되었다. 이는 중학생일수록 위험추구성향이 또래동조성에 의해 가중됨을 의미한다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 초기 청소년기 반사회적 행동 완화를 위한 정책적, 실천적 제언을 논하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of risk-taking tendency on anti social behaviors focusing on aggravating effect of peer conformity. This study analyzed cross-sectional data of “study on prevalnce of decreased onset age of deviant behaviors among adolescents” provided by “National Youth Policy Institute” among a total of 6,306 early adolescents in elementary and middle schools. Main results are as follows. First, middle school students had greater level of risk-taking tendency, anti-social behaviors, and, in particular, peer conformity than elementary school students. Second, both risk-taking tendency and peer conformity were associated with anti-social behaviors among elementary and middle school students. Third, interaction effect of risk-taking tendency and peer conformity was related to increased anti-social behaviors among middle school students. Results suggested that risk-taking tendency effect on self-reported anti-social behaviors is amplified when an adolescent is highly susceptible to peer conformity. Based on results, political and practical implications suggested.
