2015 개정 교육과정 이후 통합교과서의 개발 방향 = Compilation Strategy of Integrated Textbooks after ‘2015 Revised National Curriculum’

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 글은 통합교과서의 변천 과정을 검토하여 차기 통합교과서가 어떻게 변할 수 있는지를 예상하고 그 대처 방안을 찾아보는데 목적이 있다. 연구 결과를 요약하면, 첫째, 통합교과서는 국가 교육과정에 따르기보다 대체로 교육부가 세운교과서 편찬 계획에 따라 개발되어 왔고 앞으로도 그럴 가능성이 높다. 안정적인 통합교과서 개발을 위해서는 법적 제도적 뒷받침이 필요하다. 둘째, 통합교과서 개발은 교과의 통합을 꾀하고, 내용의 중복과 누락을 피할 수 있는 방향으로 진전을 해왔다. 그러나 교육부와 통합교과서 편찬위원회의 사전 협의를 통해 개발 계획을 확정한다면 더 질 높은 교과서를 개발할 수 있을 것이다. 셋째, 통합교과서는 교과를 가르치는 닫힌 교육에서 활동과 경험을 바탕으로 하는 열린 학습으로 옮겨가고 있다. 이를 위해서는 학교 전체가 학습의 장이 되도록 하여야 하고, 가정과 사회의 협력 체제를 구축하여 언제 어디에서건 학생이 경험을 실현할 수 있도록 학습의 장을 확대해 나가야 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This article aims to review the changes of integrated textbooks(ITB) and to find out the direction and strategy of their publication. To sum up, firstly, the ITB have been compiled by the policy of the Ministry of Education(MoE) rather than by the notification of National Curriculum. It is necessary to revise the education act, especially on subjects and textbook of elementary school, so as to supply and develop ITB as sustainable as possible. Secondly, even though ITB have been improved into more integrated ways among the subjects, it is demanded, in advance of confirming the master plan to compile ITB, that MoE cooperate with ITB developers to provide the high-quality books. Thirdly, the designs of ITB have been tended towards focusing on the activities and experiences of learners in contrast to the view of imparting the contents of the subjects. Therefore, it is recommended to reduce the present content of ITB and set up the national plan to make the best use of the school environments, home lives, and society settings as learning spaces.
