디지털 인물 아카이브 구축 방안 - 광주학생독립운동가 장재성을 중심으로 - = How to Build Archive of a Digital Person - Focusing on Jang, Jae Sung who was an Student Independence Activist of Gwangju-

국문 초록 (Abstract)

민간 기록물중 개인 기록물의 중요성은 최근 더욱 강조되고 있으며, 정부와 각 지자체에서도 공공기록물의 영역을 넘어 역사적으로 의미있는 개인기록에 대해 더욱 가치를 부여하고 보존하고자 노력하고 있다. 이 연구는 역사적인 의미가 있는 인물로 광주학생독립운동의 주역인 장재성을 선정, 그의 생애사를 기반으로 한 디지털 아카이브 구축방안을 제시하고자 한다.
장재성이 이끌었던 광주학생독립운동은 3·1운동, 6·10만세운동과 함께 일제 강점기의 3대 독립운동으로 평가받고 있다. 하지만 그동안 사건이 갖는 역사적인 위상에 비해 관련 인물들의 연구는 사회·정치적 사유 등으로 인하여 등한시되었고, 상당수의 기록들이 보존되기 어려웠다.
이러한 문제점을 해결하는 방안으로, 장재성의 디지털 아카이브 구축 방안을 제안하며, 장재성이 갖는 역사적 의미를 되새기고자 하였다. 해당 연구를 위해 문헌연구와 국가기록원, 국사편찬위원회, 국가보훈처에서 장재성과 관련된 기록 현황을 조사 및 분석하였다. 또한 가족 및 전문가 인터뷰 등을 통해 장재성에 대한 생애사를 분류하고 아카이브 구축 시 중점을 두어야 할 부분에 대해 분석하였다.
위의 연구결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 장재성 생애를 생애시기별 분류체계와 주제별 분류체계를 이용하여 세분화하였다. 둘째, 장재성의 영역을 일대기, 조직·단체의 영역, 사건·운동의 3개 영역으로 분류한 후, 주제별 콘텐츠를 세분화하여 마련하였다. 셋째, 세분화한 주제별 콘텐츠(인물소개, 년도별 일대기, 독립운동의 영역, 관련 인물들, 관련장소 등)를 기록 콘텐츠와 주제별 맵핑을 통해 연계하는 방안으로 장재성 디지털 아카이브 전체 DB 구축방안을 제시하였다.
이와 같은 연구결과를 기반으로 몇 가지 제언을 하고자 한다.
첫째, 장재성 디지털 인물 아카이브 구축을 위하여 장재성의 홈페이지를 구축하여야 한다. 둘째, 장재성과 함께 활동하였던 독립운동가들의 후손들을 통해 장재성과 관련된 기록물을 수집하는 방안을 고려해야 한다. 셋째, 장재성을 비롯한 광주학생독립운동에 참여했던 인물들의 연구가 더욱 필요하고 중요한 시점인 만큼 다양한 측면에서의 아카이브 연구를 진행해야 한다. 넷째, 장재성의 디지털 인물 아카이브 구축 후 지속적인 홍보가 필요하다.
디지털 아카이브 구축의 기대효과는 이용자들과 후손들에게 사건과 연관하여 깊은 정보를 제공해 줄 수 있고, 역사적인 관점에서는 교육 콘텐츠로 활용하여, 학습자들에게 다양한 시각을 제공할 수 있다는 점에서 의미가 있다. 이번 연구를 토대로 광주학생독립운동가들의 인물 아카이브에 대해 활발한 논의가 될 수 있길 기대한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The importance of personal records among civil ones has become more emphasized these days, which, beyond the range of only public historical records, the main and local governments are also trying to put more value on. There is a well-known activist, Jang, Jae Sung who is one of the leading men of the Gwangju Student Independence Movement, and this study will analyze his life which is undoubtedly recognized as a meaningful person in history through literature research as well as, on the base of his life, look into the current status of records related to Jang, Jae Sung to suggest a plan to establish a digital person archive based on his life history.
Gwangju Student Independence Movement led by Jang, Jae Sung with other greatest men is one of the three major movements in Japanese colonial era along with the March 1st Movement and June 10st Movement. However, compared to its historical value, the research of related figures has been neglected to search, re-evaluate and record due to social and political reasons, and it has been difficult to preserve many of the records.
In some way of evaluation, it might be problems. So, to solve these problems and broaden the range of the archive studies, this study proposes a plan how to build a digital archive of Jang, Jae Sung and reflects the historical significance of Jang, Jae sung.
For this study, the current records of Jang, Jae Sung in the National Archives of Korea, the National Institute of Korean History, and the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs were investigated to be analyzed.
In addition, by the interview with his family members and experts, the life of Jang, Jae Sung was classified and analyzed to the areas that should be focused on the establishment of archives.
The findings from the study are as follows.
First, the life of Jang, Jae Sung was divided by the classification system of life period and subjects. Second, the area of Jang, Jae Sung was arranged into three areas: biographies, areas of organizations or groups, and events and movements. The contents of each subject are distributed into subdivisions. Third, specified subjects are connected in one another by recorded contents and subject mapping to suggest how to establish the entire data base of digital archive Jang, Jae Sung : personnel introduction, year-by-year biographies, areas of independence movement, related figures, related places, etc. I would like to make some suggestions based on the findings of the above study and on the premise of establishing a digital archive. First, Jang, Jae Sung's website should be established to archive of digital. Second, it is necessary that the collection of records related to Jang, Jae Sung are considered with descendants of independence fighters who had worked with him. Third, including Jang, Jae Sung, research on the archive of figures from various aspects of independence activists in Gwangju is more important. Fourth, continuous promotion is critical after establishing Jang, Jae Sung's digital person archive. Through this establishment of archives, users and descendants can be provided much information with a deep understanding things which are related to events as well as can be improved in a historical perspective and it can be adapted for educational contents to provide diverse perspectives to learners.
Based on this study, I hope that it will be an active discussion on the archive of figures of independence activists in Gwangju as well.
