가정, 학교, 친구관계에서 발생하는 긴장이 청소년 비행에 미치는 효과 연구 : 종합 긴장모형과 세부 긴장모형을 통한 탐색 = A Study about the Effects of Family, School and Friend Strain on Juvenile Delinquency : An Inquiry through General and Specific Strain Models

This study investigates the juvenile delinquency of Korean Youth, empirically testing the General Strain Theory of Crime. It is principally concerned about the direct effects of strain on various types of delinquency and their effects mediated with stress and depression. On the one hand, these effects are inspected by means of general strain model on a comprehensive level. On the other hand, the effects of family, school, and friend strain on delinquency are inquired on the basis of three specific strain models. A survey of 7,578 youth aged from 15 to 18 was conducted, and analysis with the structural equation modeling has produced following results.
The analysis through general strain model has verified a strong direct effect of strain on the juvenile delinquency of Korean youth(.428), and also found an indirect effect mediated with depression. According to the analysis results from specific strain models, school strain has an evident direct effect on delinquency(.453), family strain a substantial direct effects(.209). The indirect effects of strain on delinquency were found in three paths: friend strain mediated with stress(.034), family strain through stress(.032), and friend strain mediated with depression(.034).

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 우리나라 청소년 비행에 대한 일반긴장이론의 설명력을 경험적으로 검증한다. 다양한 유형의 비행에 대한 긴장의 직접 효과와 스트레스와 우울로 매개된 효과를 첫째, 종합 긴장모형을 가지고 포괄적인 수준에서 검증하고, 둘째 가정과 학교와 친구관계에서 발생하는 긴장이 다양한 유형의 비행에 미치는 영향력을 세부 긴장모형을 가지고 탐색한다. 15-18세의 청소년들 7,578명에 대한 설문조사 결과를 구조모형 방정식 분석방법을 사용한 연구결과는 다음과 같다.
긴장을 포괄적으로 다룬 종합 긴장모형의 분석 결과, 긴장은 우리나라 청소년 비행에 직접 영향(.428)을 미치거나, 우울의 감정으로 매개되어 간접 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 세부 긴장모형을 통한 탐색 결과, 학교에서의 긴장과 가정에서의 긴장이 직접 비행에 미치는 효과가 뚜렷하였으며(.453과 .209), 비행에 대한 긴장의 간접 효과는 친구관계에서의 긴장이 스트레스로 매개된 경로(.034)와 가정긴장이 스트레스로 매개된 경로(.032)와 친구긴장이 우울로 매개된 경로(.034)에서 발견되었다.
