Abstract: The purpose of this study is to present future revitalization plans based on the identity of Gugak Broadcasting TV, the only traditional art channel in Korea. The research method recalled the purpose of establishing Gugak Broadcasting TV, organized and analyzed production programs since its opening, and examined the production status of major contents. The research contents presented the role and activation plan of Gugak Broadcasting TV through program analysis. Gugak Broadcasting TV is sufficiently performing the role of visualizing and archiving Korean traditional music. In order to revitalize and spread the Korean Wave, active attempts are needed to expose new media by developing competitive Original content. In future studies, it will be necessary to expand the scope to various cases of channel operation in the field of culture and arts based on the results of this study for in-depth research for channel operation.

국악방송TV의 역할과 활성화 방안 연구나 승 희**ㆍ안 남 일***

연구 목적: 이 연구는 국내 유일무이한 전통예술 전문채널인 국악방송TV의 정체성을 기반으로 향후 활성화 방안을 제시하는데 본 연구의 목적이 있다.
연구 방법: 국악방송TV의 설립취지를 상기해보고 개국 이래 제작 프로그램을 정리, 분석하여 주요 콘텐츠의 제작 현황을 살펴보았다.
연구 내용: 프로그램 분석을 통하여 국악방송TV의 역할과 활성화 방안에 대해 제시하였다.
결론 및 제언: 국악방송 TV는 전통음악의 영상화와 아카이빙 역할을 충분히 수행한다. 활성화와 한류 확산을 위해서 경쟁력 있는 원형콘텐츠 개발로 적극적인 뉴미디어 노출시도가 필요하다. 후속 연구에서는 채널 운영을 위한 심층적인 연구를 위해 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 문화예술분야 채널 운영의 다양한 사례로 범위를 확대할 필요가 있을 것이다.
