생태예술의 지형그리기: 대지예술, 환경예술, 자연예술과의 관계를 중심으로 = A Mapping of the terrain of Eco-art: In relation of the Land Art, Environmental Art, Art-in-nature

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this article is to describe the ecological art in relation of the land art, environmental art, art-in-nature as a pseudo-ecological art. The reason why I describe the ecological art by the relationship of these types of art is that they have several ecological implication which should have to express or deal with in the future ecoart. As a pre-research for the discourse of ecological arts, I will summerize several issues and points of three types of ecological theory - radical ecology, social ecology, spiritual ecology. The resultant point of summerizing these theories is the necessity of co-existance, co-relationship and the affluence of life of all creature. To realize these ecological needs, most ecologists emphasize the necessity of the revolutional change of the consciousness of human being, our society, our spiriuality. In associated with this ecological viewpoint, several types of arts - land art, environmental art, art-in-nature - have a possibility of being transformed to the ecoart or pre-ecoart. Land art have been evaluated to reconnect art with nature by expanding the area of arts toward the nature, though the problem of repetition of unconscious violence to the nature. Environmenral art have draw up a basis of ecoart by revealing the possibilities of the arts to express and share the life, creativity, and multi-strata of our environment. Art-in-nature open the door to the ecoart by revealing the force of natural materials and our abilities of co-exist and sympathizng with nature.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 논문의 목적은 유사 생태예술적 범주라고 할 수 있는 대지예술, 환경예술, 자연예술과의 연관 속에서 생태예술의 윤곽을 그리는 것이다. 이들 예술들과의 연관성 속에서 생태예술의 문제를 검토하는 것은 이들 유사 생태예술 작업들 속에 현대의 생태학 논의들이 제기하고 있는 문제들이 함축적으로 내포되어 있으며 미래의 생태예술이 드러내고 말해야 하는 생태적 논점들이 내포되어 있기 때문이다. 이를 위한 예비작업으로 이 논문은 다양한 생태학적 논의들을 근본생태학, 사회생태학, 영성 생태학이라는 세 가지 범주로 나눠 간략하게 고찰한다. 이들 생태론들의 공통 결론은 자연과 인간, 자연과 문화의 공존과 연결의 필요성이며 이를 통해 인간을 비롯한 모든 생명체의 실존적 삶이 더 풍요로워져야 한다는 점이다. 생태학은 이를 위해 인류의 의식과 사회, 영성의 변혁을 요구한다. 대지, 환경, 자연예술은 이러한 생태학적 논점들과 연관시켜 고찰해 볼 때 생태예술을 예비하거나 생태예술로 전환될 수 있는 가능성을 지니고 있다. 대지예술은 비록 인류가 대지에 가해왔던 폭력적 침범의 논리를 무의식적으로 되풀이하고 있다는 비판에도 불구하고 예술의 관심과 매체의 영역을 자연으로 확장하는 역할을 함으로서 예술이 자연과의 관계를 다시 정립하는 데 일조를 했다. 환경예술은 예술이 환경의 생명성과 창조성, 다층성을 드러내고 그것을 공유할 수 있는 가능성을 보여줌으로서 생태예술의 토대를 마련한다. 자연예술은 자연물이 지닌 매체이상의 가능성을 드러내고 자연의 생명 또는 영성과 교감하고 상호작용할 수 있는 가능성을 열어줌으로서 생태예술로의 길을 열어준다.
