The beauty market is rapidly growing in line with trends in modern society. As income levels increase, people`s interest in beauty is growing regardless of gender. In particular, as one of the major objectives of estheticians is to professionally help people maintain beautiful and healthy skin, enhancing the ability of specialists in the field is crucial to effectively performing skin care. This study aims to analyze the work of estheticians by applying the DACUM method and eventually gain an understanding of occupational practices on site and provide basic data for effective training in cultivating estheticians and the drawing up of evaluation guidelines. In order to analyze the work of estheticians, nine trained estheticians with experience in skin care were selected as DACUM members. According to the results, the different jobs of estheticians are classified into eight areas: preparation for customer service, customer counseling, facial care, body care, special care, esthetic equipment management, customer marketing and esthetic salon management, making a total of 46 tasks. In addition, this study identified what knowledge, skills, tools and attitudes were required in performing these 46 tasks. The results of this study are expected to be used as evidence-based basic data in standardizing tasks and developing curriculums for estheticians.
