Objectives This study aimed to evaluate the growth status of children from multicultural families in Naju area using growth, obesity, and stress indices.
Methods Thirty children aged 7–12 years participated in this study, and their body composition, bone age, and stress levels were examined.
Results The bone age of children from multicultural families was higher than the average, and there were more underweight, overweight, and obese children than in the normal weight group. Among boys, the more obese, the lower the low frequency and heart rate variability; among girls, the more obese, the lower the high frequency and the more stress they had.
Conclusion Attention to dietary habits, active exercise management in children from multicultural families, and Korean medicine health education and medical support are needed.
