영아의 배변학습 과정에서 나타난 '놀이'의 의미 탐색 = The Meaning of Play in the course of the Toilet learning for a Toddler

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 배변학습과정을 질적으로 관찰하여 이를 이해하고 영아에게 있어서 배변학습과정에서의 놀이의 의미를 탐색해 봄으로써 영아의 양육과 보육에 교육적 시사점을 주고자 하였다. 이를 위해 배변학습과정을 겪고 있는 1세 영아를 대상으로 1년 동안의 삶 속에서 관찰과 어머니와의 인터뷰, 어머니의 블로그, 연구자의 현장일지를 중심으로 자료를 수집하고 질적 분석을 하였다. 이를 통해 나타난 영아 배변학습과정에서의 놀이의 의미는 ‘기저귀에 대한 친숙함을 표현하는 놀이’, ‘기저귀와 분리를 위한 놀이’, ‘새로운 대상의 발견으로서의 놀이’, ‘연습으로서의 놀이’, ‘격려와 지원으로서의 놀이’ 로 나타났다. 놀이는 결국 영아가 배변학습을 하는 데 있어서 중요한 의미를 지니므로 양육자는 영아의 배변학습을 위해 놀이의 의미를 인식하고 적절한 지원을 할 수 있도록 노력해야 할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The researcher was interested in the meaning of play in the course of the toilet learning for a toddler. So the researcher wanted to give educational views to the caring and rearing field for the infants and toddlers. This research used a qualitative method and observed a one-year old toddler for a year. The data collection was done by the participation observations, interviews with the mother, blog of the mother and field notes of the researcher. The data analysis was done by qualitative methods. The results of this research are as follows: the first meaning of play is to make a toddler familiar with diapers, the second meaning of play is to help the separation from diapers, the third meaning of play is to find out a new thing instead of the diapers, the forth meaning of play is the exercise for the toilet learning and the fifth meaning of play is to support the toilet learning. Finally caring people have to understand the meaning of play for the toilet learning and supporting the toilet learning.
