드론 영상이 뉴스 수용자의 인식에 미치는 영향 -MBC 뉴스데스크 촛불시위 보도를 중심으로-

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 최근 텔레비전 뉴스에 빈번하게 사용되고 있는 드론 영상이 수용자에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 실험 연구이다. 텔레비전 뉴스에서 대규모인파를 촬영한 드론 영상의 유무가 뉴스 수용자의 인식에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 살펴보기 위해서, 73명의 대학생으로 구성된 피험자 집단을 드론영상의 유무에 따라 2개의 집단으로 나누어 한 집단에게는 드론으로 대규모 인파를 촬영한 영상이 있는 뉴스에 노출시키고, 다른 한 집단에게는 드론 영상 대신 지상의 카메라가 촬영한 영상으로 편집된 동일한 내용의 뉴스에 노출시킨 후, 이들 피험자들이 느낀 뉴스 기사의 중요도 인식, 기사의 내용 기억 정도, 인파의 규모 인식, 그리고 해당 기사에 대한 완성도 인식등을 설문조사로 측정한 후 이를 변량 분석하였다. 분석 결과 드론 영상에 노출된 피험자들이 일반 카메라 영상에 노출된 피험자들에 비해 해당 기사를 더 중요하게 생각하고, 인파의 규모가 더 큰 것으로 생각하는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 드론 영상의 유무가 수용자의 기사 내용 기억과 기사 완성도 인식에는 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This is an experimental study that examined the effect of drone images, which are frequently used in television news, on the audience. In this study, to examine the effect of presence of drone images that have recorded large crowd on the perception of news audience, the subjects of 73 university students were divided into two groups, one group was exposed to news article with drone images and the other group without drone image. The survey was conducted to measure awareness of importance of news, memory of news, size of crowd, and completeness of article. The results of the analysis showed that the subjects exposed to drone image thought the article more important, the size of crowd larger. However, the existence of the drone image did not affect audience"s memory and awareness of completeness of the article.
