For the tangential inlet type cyclone, many scholars have examined the cyclone efficiency with relation to the length and diameter of exhaust inner duct. But it has rarely been studied on the cyclone efficiency with respect to pressure distribution in the cyclone.
Therefore in the report, pressure distribution with respect to the cyclone efficiency was examined. Then, pressure change was made by the length and the diameter of exhaust inner duct.
In the result, the best cyclone efficiency was shown when pressure distribution was nearly same in the axis direction, when the suitable pressure difference was in the radius direction. At this time, the ratio of exhaust inner duct diameter(d) and cylinder diameter(D) was from 0.35 to 0.45, the ratio of exhaust inner duct length(ℓ) and cylinderical part length(L) was from 0.8 to 1.0.
