가정과 사제 성소: 『사랑의 기쁨』과 『그리스도는 살아계십니다』를 통해 바라본 ‘사랑의 길(via caritatis)’ = Family and Priestly Vocation: ‘The way of Love (via caritatis)’ looked through Amoris Laetitia and Christus Vivit

Modern Korean society enjoys high economic position than ever, but low-birth and aging problems become gradually serious. In addition, reduction in the number of students is interlocked with decreasing of Priestly Vocation in seminary school nationwide, then sense of crisis is raised in the Church. This study investigates the problem of Priestly Vocation through previous proclaimed documents on priest formation, verifies the role and the vocation of family, and how to find the Vocation in family community.
The Apostolic Exhortation of Pope Francis, Amoris Laetitia concentrated on the encouragement and comfort to Christians, who cannot enjoy the grace and joy from family, while not changed the teaching of the Church but interprets and adopts concretely to detailed situations.
This Apostolic Exhortation emphasized that family is as the most fundamental cell phase in the society, and is the place where learns love, and reveals lively Triune God’s friendship from love in the reality.
In the following Exhortation, Christus Vivit, Pope Francis emphasized the necessity of wide pastoral Vocation, recalls the meaning of family vocation, which family is called to witness love. These two Exhortations suggest in common the meaning of self-giving which is contained the vocation of love in family.
From the documents of the 2nd Vatican Council to “The Present of Priestly Vocation”, documents on priest formation said that the important meaning of Vocation is ‘self-giving’, this is the same context that mentioned as an important topic in the vocation of family.
The most important education for those who aspires priesthood is that to make them perceive properly the identity of a priest and to keep altruistic, self-sacrifice life, not settled for self-satisfaction and easement.
This identity means that to transfer from not remaining on the question of ‘who am I’ but to ‘who am I existing for’. Also, the ceaseless contemplating topic among the Church teachings on Vocation is ‘communion’. Priest who is called to accomplish communion is to make a new relationship with God through unilateral and unique acquaintance with Christ, then can be possible to make this communal life of service and self-giving.
‘Communio Personarum’ means ‘personal communion’, looks at ‘self-giving as the core element for the unity. To reproduce this ‘self-giving’, to find ‘Caritas’ which started from ‘love as friendship’. Pope Francis defined that ‘Caritas’ is ‘as love with friendship, love to understand other person’s high value and to care for them’. Eventually, Jesus’ saying that “Giving is happier than Receiving” should be well embodied through pastoral love (caritas pastoralis), which is mentioned in the priest formation documents.
In conclusion, to be a person who preaches God’s influence is to fulfill communion and to lead the life as a disciple who gives ‘pastoral love’ in the pastoral field.
Since the answer to this life can learn well from the family. Family community should suggests the ‘way of love (via caritatis)’, which is possible for ‘self-giving’ and ‘Caritas’.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

현대의 한국 사회는 그 어느 때보다 높은 경제적 지위를 누리고 있지만 저출생, 고령화의 문제가 점점 심각해지고 있다. 이와 더불어 학령인구의 감소는 전국 신학교의 성소자 감소와 맞물려 교회 안의 위기감이 고조되고 있다. 본 논문은 사제 성소에 대한 문제에 대하여 이전에 반포된 사제 양성에 대한 문헌들을 통해 검토하며, 가정의 역할과 소명이 무엇인지 확인하여 가정 공동체 안에서 어떻게 성소를 찾게 되는지 살펴보고자 한다.
프란치스코 교황의 권고 『사랑의 기쁨』은 교회의 가르침을 변화시키지 않으면서도 구체적 상황에 맞게 해석하고 적용하여 가정생활에서 주어지는 은총과 기쁨을 누리지 못하는 그리스도인들에 대한 격려와 위로에 초점이 맞춰져 있다. 이 권고는 가정은 사회의 가장 기본적인 세포 단계로서 사랑을 가장 잘 배울 수 있는 자리라고 강조하며, 삼위일체 하느님의 사랑의 친교가 현실에서 생생하게 드러나는 곳이라고 말한다. 이어지는 권고인 『그리스도는 살아계십니다』에서는 광범위한 성소 사목의 필요성을 강조하고, 가정은 사랑을 증언하도록 부름받았다는 성소의 의미를 되살려야 한다고 말한다. 이 두 권고는 공통적으로 가정 안에서 사랑의 소명에 담겨 있는 자기 내줌의 의미를 제시한다.
제2차 바티칸 공의회 문헌에서부터 『사제 성소의 선물』에 이르기까지 사제양성에 대한 문헌들은 사제 성소에 담긴 중요한 의미를 ‘자기 내줌’이라고 말하고 있는데, 이는 가정의 소명에서 중요한 화두로 언급한 것과 같은 맥락이다. 사제직을 지망하는 이들에게 가장 중요한 교육은 사제의 삶이 자기 만족과 편안함에 안주하지 않고 이타적인 헌신의 삶을 유지하도록 사제의 정체성을 제대로 인식시켜 주는 것이다. 이 정체성은 ‘나는 누구인가’라는 질문에만 머무르는 것이 아니라 ‘누구를 위하여 존재하는가’라는 질문으로의 전환을 뜻한다. 또한 사제 성소에 대한 교회의 가르침 중에 끊임없이 성찰해야 할 화두는 바로 ‘친교’이다. 친교를 이루는 사람이 되라는 부르심을 받은 사제는 그리스도와의 단독적이고 유일한 만남을 통하여 하느님과 새로운 관계를 맺게 되고, 이러한 친교를 바탕으로 봉사와 자기 내줌의 삶이 가능해진다.
‘인격들의 친교’를 뜻하는 ‘Communio Personarum’은 ‘자기 내줌’을 일치를 향한 핵심 요소로 바라보고 있다. 이 ‘자기 내줌’을 재생산해내기 위해서는 ‘우정으로서의 사랑’에서 비롯된 ‘Caritas’를 발견해야 한다. 프란치스코 교황은 『사랑의 기쁨』에서 ‘Caritas’란 ‘우정 어린 사랑으로 상대방의 높은 가치를 깨닫고 소중히 여길 때의 사랑’이라고 정의한다. 결국 “주는 것이 받는 것보다 더 행복하다”는 예수님의 말씀은 사제 양성에 관한 문헌에서 언급한 바와 같이 목자의 사랑(caritas pastoralis)을 통해서 잘 구현될 수 있어야 한다.
결론적으로 하느님의 영향력을 전하는 사람이 되는 길은 친교를 이루는 사람이 되어 ‘목자로서의 사랑’을 사목 현장에서 베풀 수 있는 제자로서의 삶을 살아내는 것이다. 이러한 삶에 대한 응답은 가정 안에서 가장 잘 배울 수 있기에, 가정 공동체는 ‘자기 내줌’과 ‘Caritas’가 가능한 ‘사랑의 길(via caritatis)’을 제시해줄 수 있어야 한다.
