The purpose of this study is translate Trunk Control Measurement scale (TCMS) to the Korean version and analyze intra-rater, inter-rater reliability. With agreement of Lieve Heyrman, an original editor of the TCMS, it was translated the English version into korean (K-TCMS). This was backward translation into English by a Korean-American physical therapist. 15 spastic cerebral palsy who agreed to be evaluated were randomly assigned to four Therapists who have clinical experience of over 10 years. When children has performed TCMS, it was recorded with video data for intra-rater and inter-rater reliability. Four physical therapists viewed video data of the children and scored each child’s performance on the TCMS on 7 separate days. The intra-rater and inter-rater reliability were analyzed for four testers with intraclass correlation coefficient(ICC). The ICC for intra-rater reliability of static sitting balance item was 0.97-0.99, dynamic sitting balance item was 0.97-0.99 and dynamic reaching item was 0.94-1.00(P<0.05). The ICC for inter-rater reliability was 0.89-1.00. The Korean version of TCMS is reliable and suitable instrument for assessing trunk control with cerebral palsy in Korea.
