중2학생의 신체매력, 또래관계 및 자아존중감의 관계 = Relationship among Physical Attractiveness, Peer Relationships and Self-Esteem of Middle School 2nd Grade Students

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 중2학생의 신체매력 정도를 알아보고, 신체매력, 또래관계 및 자아존중감의 관계를 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 중2학생들에게 본인이 느끼는 신체매력 정도를 확인하고, 선행연구와 이론을 기초로 외생잠재변인으로 신체매력, 내생잠재변인으로 또래관계 및 자아존중감을 설정하여 구조방정식 모형을 통해 관계를 검증하였다. 조사대상자의 모집단은 중2학생이었으며, 서울특별시, 경기도에 거주하는 중2학생을 편의표본추출법을 이용하여 총 410명을 표집 하였다. 이후 분석에 적합하지 않은 표본을 제외하고 최종적으로 사용한 유효 표본은 377명이며, 자료 수집을 위해 설문지를 사용하였다. 조사도구는 선행연구를 기초로 탐색적 요인분석을 실시하여 신뢰도와 타당도가 검증된 문항을 사용하였다. 자료처리는 SPSS 18.0 및 AMOS 18.0프로그램을 이용하여 빈도, 탐색적 요인분석, 측정모형분석, 상관분석, 평균, 구조방정식모형분석을 실시하였다. 이상의 연구방법과 절차를 통해 다음과 같은 결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 중2학생의 본인이 느끼는 신체매력 정도는 대체적으로 만족하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 중2학생의 신체매력은 또래관계 및 자아존중감에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 또래관계는 자아존중감에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 신체매력과 자아존중감 사이에 또래관계가 매개하는 것을 알 수 있다. 종합적으로 중2학생들은 어느 정도 자신의 신체에 만족하는 것을 알 수 있고, 자신의 신체에 만족한다는 것은 또래관계와 자아존중감이 높음을 의미한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The objective of this study is to investigate the subjective physical attractiveness degree and analyze the relationship among physical attractiveness, peer relationships and self-esteem of middle school 2nd grade students. The participants of this study were 140 middle school 2nd grade students from Seoul and Gyeonggi areas in Korea. Initially 410 samples were extracted by the convenient sampling method and 377 samples were actually analyzed after excluding those who did not respond or give responses in a serious manner. The SPSS 18.0 and AMOSS 18.0 programs were used in analyzing the data. The findings of this study were as follows. Physical attractiveness degree of middle school 2nd grade students appeared to be satisfactory. Physical attractiveness of middle school students has a positive effect on peer relationships and self-esteem. Peer relationships of middle school 2nd grade students has a positive effect on self-esteem. It also shows that physical attractiveness indirectly affects self-esteem through peer relationships.
