      The purpose of this study was to review and criticize of Korean language curriculum of the two biggest problems. It can be called to as the ‘field centralism’ and ‘language skill centralism’. For this purpose, this study examined the overall contents of Korean language curriculums(from 4th curriculum to 2009 curriculum) such as system of contents, explanation of standards, latest theories of language education.
      As a result, the core of this study is twofold. Field centralism and language skill centralism were causing many problems of Korean language education such as irrational subjects appearance. In order to solve this problem, I think that this alternative approach is instituted. Thus, I suggest the contents structure of Korean language curriculum as an alternative. It consists of knowledge, text, language activities.
