      In the present study, the effect of regular treadmill exercise on cold stress-induced anxiety disorder in mice was investigated. ICR mice were divided into four groups: the control-rest group, the control-exercise group, the cold-rest group, and the cold-exercise group(n=5 in each group). Cold stress to the mice was induced by exposure mice into the cold room(4 ℃) for 3 h six times a week during 3 weeks. Treadmill exercise load consisted of running at a speed of 5 m/min for 30 min once a day for 3 weeks. Elevated plus maze test was performed to determine anxiety disorder. Our results revealed that regular treadmill exercise suppressed cold stress-induced anxiety disorder in mice. The findings of our study provide evidence that regular treadmill exercise may ameliorate cold stress-induced anxiety disorder.
