아동의 기질 및 어머니의 정서표현반응양식과 애착안정성과의 관계 = The Relationship between Children's Temperament, Mother's Response Pattern toward Children's Emotional Expression and Attachment Security

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 아동의 기질 및 어머니의 정서표현 반응양식이 애착 안정성과 어떤 관계가 있는지 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위한 구체적인 연구 문제를 살펴보면 다음과 같다.
1. 아동의 기질과 아동의 애착 안정성은 관계가 있는가?
2. 어머니의 정서표현 반응양식과 아동의 애착 안정성은 관계가 있는가?
3. 아동의 기질 및 어머니의 정서표현 반응양식이 아동의 애착 안정성에 영향을 미치는가?
이와 같은 연구 문제를 해결하기 위해 서울시내에 소재하고 있는 N 초등학교 6학년 남녀 학생 133명과 그들의 어머니를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 측정도구는 어머니에 대한 애착 안정성 척도 (The Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment-Revised: IPPA-R), 개정판 기질 차원 척도 (Revised Dimensions of Temperament Survey : DOTS-R), 어머니의 정서표현 반응양식 척도 (Parent Attitude toward Children`s Expressiveness Scale : PACES)를 사용하였다. 이 연구에서 수집된 설문 자료의 통계처리는 SPSS(Statistical Package for the Social Science) 14K를 이용하여 분석하였으며 그 결과를 살펴보면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 아동의 기질 차원별 요소가 아동의 애착 안정성과 어떤 관계가 있는지 알아보기 위해 상관분석을 실시하였는데 부분적으로 유의미하였다.
둘째, 어머니의 정서표현 반응양식이 아동의 애착 안정성과 어떤 관계가 있는지 알아보기 위해 상관분석을 실시하였는데 부분적으로 유의미하였다.
셋째, 아동의 기질 및 어머니의 정서표현 반응양식이 아동의 애착 안정성에 영향을 미치는지를 알아보기 위해 중다회귀분석을 실시하였는데 아동의 기질 차원 중에서는 융통성 기질 차원이, 어머니의 정서표현 반응양식 중에서는 아동의 부적절한 호기심 정서표현에 대한 어머니의 반응양식이 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 드러났다. 즉, 아동의 부적절한 호기심 정서표현에 대해 어머니가 적절히 통제할수록 아동의 애착 안정성이 높아지고, 아동의 융통성 기질이 낮을수록 아동의 애착 안정성이 높아진다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 어머니의 정서표현 반응양식과 아동의 기질은 아동의 애착 안정성의 11.3%를 설명하는 것으로 나타났다.
본 연구는 아동의 기질 및 어머니의 정서표현 반응양식이 아동의 애착 안정성 형성에 부분적으로 영향을 미친다는 것을 밝혔다. 앞으로 어머니들에게 아동의 전 생애에 걸쳐 지대한 영향력을 미치는 애착 안정성을 높일 수 있는 효과적인 방안을 교육하는데 있어서 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to see how children's temperament and mother's response pattern toward children's emotional expression are related to attachment security.
This study is focused on the following topics :
1. How is children's temperament related to children's attachment security?
2. How is mother's response pattern toward children's emotional expression related to children's attachment security?
3. How are children's temperament and mother's response pattern toward chileren's emotional expression exert influence on children's attachment security?
In order to find out the answers, the school survey was conducted among the 133 students of 6th grade in elementary school located in Seoul and their mothers. The Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment-Revised : IPPA-R, Revised Dimensions of Temperament Survey : DOTS-R, Parent Attitude toward Children`s Expressiveness Scale : PACES were used as measuring tools. The survey results were analyzed, according to SPSS(Statistical Package for the Social Science) 14K.
The survey results were highlighted as follows:
1st, according to a correlation analysis conducted to see how the dimensions of children's temperament are related to children's attachment security, it is partly meaningful.
2nd, based on a correlation analysis on the relationship between mother's response pattern toward children's emotional expression and children's attachment security , it is proved to be in part significant
3rd, Multiple Regression has been conducted to see how children's temperament and mother's response pattern toward children's emotional expression exert influence on children's attachment security. The statistics shows that flexibility among the dimensions of children's temperament and mother's response pattern toward children's inappropriate emotional expression about curiosity among the dimensions of mother's response pattern toward children's emotional expression are related to attachment security. That is to say, the more mothers tolerate children's inappropriate emotional expression about curiosity, the less children's attachment security gets. The lower children's flexibility temperament gets, the higher children's attachment security gets.
Mother's response pattern toward children's emotional expression and children's temperament account for 11.3% of children's attachment security.
This study has demonstrated that children's temperament and mother's response pattern toward children's emotional expression and attachment security have meaningfully related. This study can be used as a preliminary data in educating mothers with the efficient ways to enhance the attachment security, which is greatly to influence the whole life of children.
