Sulperazon is a combination drug of sulbactam and cefoperazone with excellent activity against beta-lactamase producing organisms.
Clinical study of Sulperazon was undertaken to a total 20 patients with infection. There were respiratory tract infection (14 patients), sepsis (3 patients), and urinary tract infection (2 patients) Paratyphoid fever (1 patient). At dose of 2g per day, Sulperazon was administered parenterally.
The results were as follows :
1. 19(955) of total 20 cases were shown clinical satisfactory result after administration of sulperazon.
2. The strains were eradicated by administration of sulperazone except 3 cases among 11 cases.
3. There were no specific side effects.
