어린이집 정교사와의 근무 맥락 속에서 드러나는 대체교사의 경험 = Childcare center substitute teachers’ experiences working with regular teachers

국문 초록 (Abstract)

어린이집 대체교사 지원사업은 어린이집 정교사의 복지증진을 위하여 그 필요성과공감대가 증가하고 있다. 본 연구는 대체교사가 어린이집에서 겪는 경험과 정교사와의 경험 속에서 이들의 목소리를 이해하고 해석하기 위해 국내 최초로 시행한 경남C시 안식휴가제의 안식휴가 대체교사 2명과 국비 대체교사 6명을 대상으로 참여관찰과 면담을 하였고 보육 공동체로서 어린이집에 지원 나온 대체교사와 함께 근무한 경험이 있는 정교사 3명과의 면담을 진행하여 질적으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 대체교사는 반복적으로 다양한 어린이집을 경험하게 되면서 짧은 기간이지만 정교사와의 관계가 불편해지지 않기 위해 노력하고 있음이 드러났다. 또한 어린이집 교직원들의 대체교사에 대한 부정적인 인식으로 인해 심리적 어려움을 겪고 있어 대체교사의 업무이해와 대체교사를 바라보는 부정적인 인식의 개선이 필요함이 드러났다. 대체교사가어린이집에서 겪는 다양한 경험들은 어린이집 현장 상황을 조망해 볼 수 있는 기회이며 지원사업의 실효성을 높일 수 있는 근무 형태로의 변화가 필요함을 시사한다.

The needs and consensus for the support projects for substitute teachers at childcare centers to promote the welfare of regular teachers at childcare centers is increasing. This study aimed to understand substitute teachers’ experiences in childcare centers and with regular teachers. Interviews and participatory observations were conducted with two sabbatical substitute teachers, six substitute teachers, and three regular teachers who had worked with substitute teachers. Their responses were qualitatively analyzed. The results showed that the substitute teachers repeatedly experienced various childcare centers and tried not to make the relationship with the regular teachers uncomfortable. We suggest improvements because of psychological difficulties due to the negative perceptions of substitute teachers. This study is based on teachers’ experiences in childcare centers. Research on sabbatical substitute teachers and substitute teachers should be actively conducted.
