      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

      Zo, Za Yong(趙子庸, 1926-2000) is a Minhwa(Korean folk paintings) activist who
      devoted his entire life to establishing Korean identity through Minhwa. He discovered
      humor, pleasure, and ideals of liberty and equality from the nature and thoughts of
      Koreans and prepared grounds to support the Korean Cultural Arts Movement. Having
      realized that Minhwa is a beautiful genre of paintings that can impress the world even
      though it refers to a type of Korean traditional paintings drawn with the very Korean
      sensitivity, he collected and studied Minhwa in those days when Korea was culturally
      backward, revealed the originality, and led not only the popularization but globalization
      of the Korean paintings. This can be seen as a step forward with a hope of creatively
      developing the Korean paintings. His Minhwa Movement was connected to the Folk
      Art Movement for the Korean public with aspirations for liberty and equality, and
      finally drove them to take part in the Folk Crafts Movement globally.

      Zo, Za Yong(趙子庸, 1926-2000) is a Minhwa(Korean folk paintings) activist who
      devoted his entire life to establishing Korean identity through Minhwa. He discovered
      humor, pleasure, and ideals of liberty and equality from the nature and thoughts of
      Koreans and prepared grounds to support the Korean Cultural Arts Movement. Having
      realized that Minhwa is a beautiful genre of paintings that can impress the world even
