Biodegradable copoly(chitosan-g-N^ε-Carbobenzoxy-L-lysine) has been synthesized and characterized for biomedical applications. The physical and surface properties of the copolymer membranes were measured for tensible strength, elongation, and contact angles. The biodegradation of the polymer embranes by protease at 38°C was also measured and the proliferation of human fibroblast on the artificial skin was tested in vitro system.
