멜랑콜리, 노스탤지어, 그리고 고향

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 논문은 이방인을 비롯한 모든 실향인들의 귀향 본능에 초점을 맞추고 그들이 돌아가고자 하는 고향이 과연 무엇일지에 대해 성찰하고 있다. 이를 위해 이 논문은 이방인 또는 실향인이 고향을 떠올릴 때 가지는 감정들인 멜랑콜리와 노스탤지어를 먼저 다루고 있다. 그 후 고향의 본성을 파악하기 위해 하이데거의 로고스 개념 분석에 주목하고 그의 로고스의 이해를 통해 고향의 본성을 파헤치고 있다. 이렇게 한 이유는 고향이 상실된 현대 세계에서 대부분의 실향인들이 고향으로 간주하는 것이 바로 그들의 모국어, 즉 말이기 때문이다. 결론적으로 이 연구는 고향은 결코 과거를 지향하는 것이 아닌, 은폐와 들통남이라는 끊임없는 과정이 일어나는 합치가 최종적으로 안착하는 곳이며, 초월자만이 품을 수 있는 것이며, 절대적인 희열을 주는, 미래의 것이라는 것을 밝히고 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper focuses on the displaced people, and reflects on what “home” really is for these people which they want to go back to so badly. For this, the paper deals with emotions such as melancholy and nostalgia which these people suffer when they think of the home. After doing that, to grasp the nature of the home, this study pays attention to the analysis of the concept of logos which M. Heidegger elaborates. By understanding his suggestion on the concept of logos, this paper scrutinizes the nature of the home. The reason for such is that in modern society where the home is lost to the most of the people, the displaced persons find their home in their mother-tongue language. In conclusion, this study suggests that the home is not the one belongs to the past, but the future. Also, this paper shows the home is the place where the agreement takes place finally through the constant processes of concealment and revealment, where only those who are transcendental possess, and where provides the joy for the those who are yearning for the home.
