The Yeongju granitoid pluton is a elliptical batholith of Jurassic age intruding the gneisses of the Ryeongnam massif. The batholith is divided into several lithofacies according to the interrelation, lithology, internal structure. The western batholith consists of porphyritic biotite granodiorite, medium-grained biotite granodiorite, coarse-grained biotite granodiorite and fine-grained two mica granite. The fine-grained two mica granite has the most expensive potentiality among them as a stone resource. I report its occurrence form, lithology and internal structures, and a few joint systems and several veinlets in a quarry. After then I record underground lithologies and structures from four drill cores, and suggest the efficient future course for developing stone resource.
