      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The present paper attempts to show that my critical interpretations concerned with Plato`s Pausanias have condemned him as a sophist who makes a perverted use of morality to achieve his real goal, a legitimate of paiderastia. In articulating logical contradictions and fallacies related to the arguments of nous, license, and virtues in Pausanias` speech his sophistry is chiefly used to legalize his paiderastia with Agathon as his eromenos. His sophistic, subtle cleverness to maximize his own erotic profit as a erastes, however, might not so much to present the positive attitude to the paiderastia obviously as to conceal his underlying credo concerning the revision of Athens` nomos. The revolutionary aspects of Plato`s Pausanias are revealed in supporting the overridingness of his private range for the public field. Through my elenchos I argue that there are his many immoral and illogical statements in his speech. In the arguments of nous, license, and virtues, he is gradually falling to abyss because of the serious logical fallacy, the incompatibility of his paiderastia with those thesis: To love beautifully is to love the intellectual persons, more intellectual adult than a paidika is preferred and therefore his paiderastia can`t be maintained. License is incompatible with slavery in his paiderastia. Lastly, to slave voluntarily so as to acquire the virtues is also conflicted with his paiderastia. In particular the conception of a voluntary slavery makes an eromenos merely a receptacle. Pausanias` sophistry is related to the serious danger in existence of both individual and polis because in his paiderastic relationship physical reproduction can`t be possible. There is good reason to consult the Socrates-Diotima`s speech concerning the beauty in both the physical and the psychic as a means of reproduction.
