The Changes of the Moon in Relation to the Fall of Rain

The belief that there exists a certain connection between the moon's phases and the changed in the weather in favor of rain, is so deeply and firmly rooted in the minds of many farmers, as to constitute one of their most inveterate prejudices, which no reason nor ridicule can ever eradicate. There is, however, one method left that will speak more forcibly than anything else to the common sense of men and convince them of truth, if they have any desire to be convinced at all--namely, the presentation of facts as exhibited to the eye in plain numbers.
